Treatment Group for People Who Compulsively Hoard and Clutter The ICHC will hold its first 16-week hoarding and cluttering treatment group starting Monday, April 28, 2008 every Monday from 6-8pm.This is the first compulsive hoarding treatment group that has been made available to residents of San Francisco. Click here for a treatment group flier. Due to an overwhelming amount of applicants, we are no longer accepting applicants for the treatment group scheduled to start April 28th at this time. Be sure to check our website for updates on a second treatment group to be made available to those interested and ready to take steps toward change in hoarding behaviors. This treatment group is unique from our weekly support group in that it is led by a clinician, Judy Hirsch of Family Service Agency of San Francisco, and made up of participants who are committed to make a change in their compulsive hoarding behavior. Each participant must be committed to attend each of the 16 weeks and be prepared to complete weekly homework assignments, in the effort to decrease their hoarding behaviors, while limiting the amount of clutter in the home. The intake process is to determine eligibility and level of motivation for change. If you are interested in participating in this treatment group, please call Judy Hirsch of Family Service Agency of San Francisco at (415) 474-7310, ext. 483.
